seriously. 

ok, so i’m in love with any singing show - but i have been watching american idol the longest - so it’s the example i’m going to use. (i haven’t seen it since adam lambert’s season and as much as i like american idol, i hate it for all the sob stories they insist on putting in and how sometimes, the brilliant leave the show for the mediocre)

anyway, i just saw last week’s hollywood episode (or was it las vegas? idk, they be changing it up) and everyone. everyone sings better than 80% of the “famous” singers now.

don’t get me wrong, i feel like if you’re a singer/songwriter/musician - you don’t have to have the best voice. but many times, these “famous people” don’t write their own music yet they have fame. i know studio versions are what you listen to, but i respect and judge an artist on their live performance. if…they can’t even sing live - how am i supposed to think that their studio version is actually their “voice”?

so many fucking talented people who sing beautifully and ten times better than the entire playlist on the radio, yet they have no fame.
