i go from hating her to pitying her to relating to her and to liking her. i just. I JUST DON’T KNOW HOW TO FEEL.
- i hate her because she thinks she knows everything. she’s so desperate for power and for control she just shoves aside the only one person who cares for her, jaime (imo.) i’m a huge jaime fan and i’m just like BITCH HE GAVE UP CASTERLY ROCK. EVERYTHING. TO BE WITH YOU. STOP BITCHIN. AND GIVE HIM A HUG GOD DAMMIT AND STOP MOCKING HIS STUMP. jaime lannister u truly are a good purson let me love you. anyway, she just frustrates me and is so paranoid and annoying and just ugh.
- i love her the same reason why i love strong willed characters. she put up through so much fucking shit. robert, her father, and every. single. man. who has just tossed her around like a doll but no she’s human and just wants her moment. little details in ASOIAF stick out to me. like the moment when she said she wore jaime’s clothes and everyone treated her differently. and how she was just trapped in a woman’s body. she could have done so much if she was a man and given the opportunity. in the first book we’re all like the LANNISTERS R SO EVIL U KILL BRAN!!! when in reality it obv wasn’t cersei or jaime (who would have done it himself) and it turns out they really didn’t kill jon arryn at all? they’re all getting the shit of everything because they’re the perfect “receptors” for it.
- i pity her for the same reasons above. she wants to rule. but she can’t because she’s a woman and no one will listen to her. she can be tywin if people let her. but now i don’t think she can, because with everyone spitting down on her it’s turned her antics into desperation and paranoia and nutsos. if she was a man, in the same exact position (i know it’s not possible, just get my point) i think she would have been a “better”/”nicer”/”less bitchy” person because when looking back. the really reason why she’s so bitter and mean is because everyone keeps doubting her ability and her potential.
- do i think she can rule? hm. no. i think right now as of where i am in feast for crows, she’s too paranoid. too psychotic. too blind. too untrustworthy. just overall a little too…unstable. if she was treated like the way the dornish treat their queens, would she have been better? probably.
idk, these are my feels. tell me your thoughtsss.
